i have 2 Alien Gear AIWB, and love the brand.

however, i'd not want to carry a 1911, due to the weight of one.

as a side note, the other day i took 2-50 round boxes of 45 ACP to the range..

each dang box of 45 ACP ammo (my reloads) weighed in at just slightly over ........2 lbs.......

The author needs to do more homework. The Model 12 shotgun was not a Browning design. Winchester's Thomas Johnson I believe was responsible although he incorporated some of the Model 97 (a Browning design) components. Browning broke away from Winchester over his Auto shotgun; he wanted royalties and Winchester said no. While they were assuming they would get the Auto 5 Winchester did help him with the patents. They did so well that the cocking handle was under patent so when they brought out their own Auto shotgun ( The model 11) they could not put a cocking handle on it without paying a royalty so they knurled the barrel. It was cocked by pulling back on the barrel and letting go.
