"The Curse of Glock" or "Why I Have Moved on, but Cannot Fully Sever that Relationship"

For what it is designed, the Glock is perfect and is in a class of its own.

The people who complain about Glock, take the gun out of its category and try to compare it to other handguns it should not be compared to.

It's done out of ignorance and disdain.
I don't complain about them I just don't like shooting them. Which is a shame because I really wanted to like them.

I have several glocks in a few calibers and don't have a problem with any of them. all of them work and shoot well. only one i have that i really don't care for is the 43X. now it's in the same ballpark size wise as my FN reflex, Sig365 and SA hellcat. all three of those are over it IMO. and in ownership, mines the only one that counts. 😁 The trigger on the 43 X is worse than any of those three mentioned. Glocks rule baby, well maybe just below the Hy Point.

You can always tell an old school 1911 fan when they try a Glock and then start swapping out parts on a perfectly reliable out of the box gun.
Now if I were going to purchase one I would replace the plastic sights with some Heineken Straight 8 sights. I’ve had cataracts and detached retinas in both eyes and I found that these sights are easy for me to use. And, of course, it would be in 45 ACP🤠

Friggin auto correct. Heine sights not Heineken sights. If I had those on I don’t suspect I’d be hitting a damned thing😁

When I first started my LEO career 34 years ago, I started with a S&W 5906. Loved that gun. Not long after, I went to a Police Expo and was introduced to Glock. Bought it and trained with it and shot it every chance I got. I was probably one of the first in my County to carry one. I was teased relentlessly, oh it's made by Mattel, it's a Lego. Now almost every one of those "teasers" have or carry Glocks in some configuration. Now don't get me wrong I have other handguns that I like and shoot very well but I am always drawn back to Glock. At last count I have over a dozen of them. Only thing I change out is the God awful plastic crappy factory sights. But they're not for everyone either you Love em or Hate em seems there's no in between. Just my two cents...

Probably not. I shot every one I could get my hands on about 8 years ago. None of them felt good in my hands.

I don't think the Slimline series is quite 8 years old, maybe someone knows for sure.

Most ranges that rent firearms should have one, they are worth giving a try.

They are single stack.

The G48 is basically the equivalent of the G19, one of the most popular Glocks.

It's all opinion but they feel a like a 365XL to me.
