Interesting read on the gun that started it all for Glock….even though I have never heard of a Glock ……😁😁

Hmm, not a bad article. Seems he bought a Glock even though he was not enamored with them and found out, you know what, it's actually a pretty good gun.

Oh, and for all the Glock haters out there, Glocks are not necessarily a all or nothing proposition. Personally, I'm not a fan of the full size Glock 17 featured in this article. I am a big fan of the compact sized Glock 19 in 9mm, and especially big fan of the compact sized Glock 23 in .40 S&W.

Interesting article...thanks Anni! When I was looking at pistols in Rogers,MN with the husband one weekend, the guy behind the counter tried really hard to sell me a Glock. He was an ex LEO and told us of a few times where he was sure if what he was carrying wasn't Glock, well... Believe me I was tempted, but I couldn't get over the fact that it felt like a block in my hand. I really tried to like it but...no joy. I tried again at a LGS in Fargo, but I just couldn't get it to feel good. If it doesn't feel good, I won't handle it the way it should be handled.

I have absolutely nothing against Glock. My hand just doesn't love them. They are a workhorse and they stand up to a lot of :poop:. And there is such a huge aftermarket of parts and gadgets for them that sometimes I wish my hand did like them, but sadly no. I must stick to the Walthers and HKs, and the IWIs and SAs and S&Ws...you get my point. Hey, I am a glass half full kind of girl...maybe someday Glock will make a pistol that my hand will love 😊;).

Ever tried a Glock 43?

I've found Glocks to generally be soft shooting. But I have a Glock 43, it is one of the most uncomfortable guns to shoot I've owned. I tried to trade it for a sig but the manager wouldn't do the trade, said he couldn't sell it. On the same hand, the Gen 4 Model 17 is a very easy shooter. The change in grip angle brings the natural point of aim down to what I'm accustomed to with a 1911.

When you can, give the Beretta Apex Tactical a look at, love the grip and my wife has small hands and it fits her greatly, they do come with different ones if needed

Also known as the Beretta APX Tactical, Gatekeeper 🤣 (unless you're talking about APEX triggers (got one in my S&W Shield 1.0)). But seriously, I have an APX Centurion (15 rounds) and bought the Compact grip module for it (13 rounds). Like the Sig P320, P365 and SA Echelon, et. el., the serialized trigger group can be removed and put into another grip module with different slides/barrels etc. available to make different configuration models.
