Hi,

If I used Ballistol or Hoppe's I would have to clean my guns outside. Mrs. BassCliff thinks everything stinks. Although Ballistol does seem very convenient I'll stick with my normal hooch. That way I don't have to build a gun shed. Then again...

Is it a bad idea to use different cleaning products on your firearms, or should you use the same product all the time?

no, but the issue arises when you have a shelf load of products, that you tried, and either liked or hated.

just like oils, greases, and anything else...like maybe a closet full to the top of carry holsters..????

if some of these products had "trial sized", that would be helpful.

As for me, I have switched exclusively to Breakthough products. They are odorless, non-carcinogenic, and user-safe. They are also biodegradable, not HAZMAT, and CA Prop 65 EXEMPT. And...they get stuff clean. Their oil and greases are good also.

Everything in CA is bad for your health and comes with a Prop-65 warning

I have been using Shooter Lube since I started. The solvent has no smell, and is much like CLP. The lube also has no smell. Gets the job done and the guns don’t mind it.

I have a box of miracle wonders, most of which did not live up to their advertising. I do like G96 and use it often.
