Savage has joined this elite group of manufacturers turning out guns next to custom, but retaining acceptable price points of under $1,500, no matter the model or options.

on another website i go to, many there have said that they had "issues" with savage guns in the past, and they customer service was not up to par.

if i can find :some" of what they say, i will post it here at a later time.

in fact, i think someone here had a savage rifle? and had issues, and wasn't too happy overall.

Good luck to them but I’m happy with my Springfield Operator and Colt Competition. If I wanted anything a little more custom I’ll get the Colt Combat Unit.

So I’ll pass

The test gun is quite a shooter and read the article for particulars. According to their website, all features are common and offer no variation other than rail or color. No current variation of sights or barrel length.
My preference is no front cocking serrations, no weird frame cuts and a single sided safety.

It boils down to aesthetics and whether you like the design or not. I would guess there are other options out there at this suggested MSRP that are just as accurate.
