The Secret Service needs an overhaul.

Overhaul is an understatement. I'd add more, but too many get butt-hurt.
Not to put words in your mouth, BUT ("everything before but is B.S." ;) ) How about fired. Not allowed to resign, retire, quietly slip out the back door. FRIED! All of them. Every last one. From the director down to the guy that got hired yesterday and is waiting to attend whatever BS academy the go to. FIRED! Back date it a year so no one can slip in "misplaced" retirement paperwork. While we are at it include the cleaning service that vacuums the carpet in the middle of the night FIRED! Yup collateral damage, s***s to be them. And more than a couple need to face criminal charges. The SS has been corrupt and mismanaged for 20 years with its good old boy system. Covering for drunks, drugs and whoring. Time to start with a clean slate. Get a tea totaller fire and brimstone Southern Baptist/Pentecostal preacher with cancer and about 1 year to live to set the wheels in motion for the new org. If he's dying, he won't give a flying rats tail what he says, who he offends, or how strict the rules are.

I am not anti non however I did have an issue when a lot of women made it an event when agency HRs decided to make it mandatory to out in punojng stations and we had to get them reliefs.

As a LT I ran the shift at a high security federal penitentiary I had moms demanding reliefs at certain times to “pump” so in the middle of finding staff for a use of force in SHU or an emergency med trip or a fight with serious injuries where we had to secure that unit and cart an inmate to an ER downtown I have this lady all mad because she was 10 minutes to get to the “milk break”

And you have “those staff that instead of the 20 minutes written into the break room 3 freakin hours and administrative would refuse to call them on it because that was the hotness coming out of DC

Another lady had to make it about her in the middle of qualifications and asked if I provided a break between shooting. I said she can do it between handgun and rifle as there’s a laps but I am not holding up 24 other shooters the. It became there wasn’t a facility “at the firing range” I’m like then drive to the main facility o have nothing to do with what buildings get built at the rage. When we got ready to break for lunch without permission the lady put her bags of milk in our fridge. She filed on me after I had had enough. But I had enough gray hair and was close enough to retirement I didn’t give a s&@t!

That was my experience. And glad I am retired.
 
After retiring from the PD in 2000, I worked a detail in DC for 6 weeks. I worked with USSS protection agents on a daily basis and found them to be very committed and professional. A number of them were former local LEO's. WTH happened? A failure of leadership and a loss of mission focus is the only explanation that makes sense.

Partisanship and the establishment’s fear of Trump upsetting their applecart has permeated the entirety of the bureaucracy. I heard it summed up succinctly by some dude I never heard of on the radio, Jessie Kelly. All of the alphabet agencies’ mission statements have changed. Their only job now is to protect themselves.

It is absolutely time to scrap them all and start over.
 
If you're looking at incompetency or blind obedience to orders that go against established policies, here is how it happens in addition to DEI. Ten plus years ago, the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO) was running a corrupt hiring and security clearance system which appeared in the papers back then. As part of the background investigation, they would find people who had committed crimes including child sex offenses. You know what happened? The agency hired them anyway. Why? Because they could use the findings as leverage to coerce certain people in the agency to bend to the leadership's will under all (illegal) circumstances. You played ball - good. You made trouble - you are out on your keester with another criminal charge to boot. I would say this is what happens to other agencies at some level especially when they are trying to fill diversity quotas. It's also why the good ole boy/girl shield around the DC cesspool is so strong.
 
she should have NOT had her baby with her....PERIOD.....there is as we know, Family Leave, and if she was no longer on that leave, which i imagine she was, then she should have still NOT had that baby there.

this is the problem with DEI and any other workers rights...she was in a highly intense job, and as such, needed to be focused on THAT..like what, she could not have used a breast pump, and have a baby-sitter feed the baby at home..??

this is why we need to go back to the old ways, these new progressive ways are NOT working.

and she should be fired, loss of pension, loss of benefits, and black balled from personal protection jobs, hell she should not even be a minimum wage security guard, at the dump.

What happened is they have created a “no cop left behind” mindset.

They relax standards and don’t fire anyone for failing to qualify with firearms they ease up the course so much Ray Charles could qualify (and I mean no slight to Mr Charles)

Even in a certain LE academy I help at we have kids that fail to qualify so they stamp them to have remedial on their department and come back to shoot.

So not only are the wrong people getting hired the ones that would have 29 years ago aren’t getting booted for not meeting standards they just rewrite the standards!

And that’s not even getting into everyone is protected woke stuff
