I will stick to brass in most of my guns. I do use some steel in my SKS and have had pretty good luck with it. I have had poor luck with steel in the rest of my firearms.

Geeeezzz, it was a loooongg read, just to say
in nearly every sense that brass is best.

With or without the article, I've always been a
brass man and will remain one.

The polymer that comes on the scene now;
I'll be looking for tests/trials that describe
the effect on the firearm......seems polymer
would have less friction/wear on any firearm
which should convert to less maintenance/
damage. But I could be wrong.

I haven't had any issues with steel case ammo in 7.62x39.
Haven't seen anything available in any other calibers to try.

Thanks, saved me the time of reading the article which I really didn't feel like reading anyway, especially since I have not had very good luck with steel.
