Is the blued one an EVO? I saw one the other day and instantly fell for those grips. I like the way the serrations are done. Great looking gun.

We all have our preferences. Capacity is one of the last considerations for me. In fact I have one pistol that takes more than 8, and I am still considering replacing it with something in the 1911 family.

It is Evo… i love those grips too -the pattern & feel - but replaced them with thin grips. Just shoot better with them. I may swap back and try again.

I’m not knocking 1911s. I remember buying my first one, a RO Target, and then one day I opened my gun case and it had turned into 5! And that doesn’t count the 5in .45 Ronin that I sold and then replaced with the exact same gun!

Never thought you were, sorry if i made it sound that way. You prefer a high capacity pistol and said so. Nothing wrong with that in the least. I was just giving a different view where capacity simply is not consideration . 1911s are just one example, others include Makarov and various others. I won't even include my favorite carry handgun most of the time a 5 shot jframe lol.
