The front-liner troops will have it while the M4 will still be used by the support elements.Yep, seen this a couple weeks ago. I just can't see it replacing the M4 or M27. Maybe a couple in a squad.
2045When does the rest of Nato, switch to the new round?

Can't see it happening.Stay tuned...
Interesting, thanks for posting Talyn. I heard Sig (range day 2 shot shows ago), tell that 3 versions of the civilian equivalent Spear rifle, would be made available to the public in 3 different calibers. The 308 (which is already available); 6.5 Creedmoor; and in 277 Fury. I’d be interested in the 277 if it eventually makes it to market (my LGS just got some 277 ammo in at $37 for 20 rounds).
An LGS here has two .277 loads for $30 & $24.50/bx., but not the reinforced case type.Interesting, thanks for posting Talyn. I'm going over to the LGS on Thursday and want to take a look at the 277 they got. I told them if they see a Spear in 277, to hold it for me. The acquisition manager was curious (didn't know Sig was releasing it in other than 308 caliber), and called the Sig rep to see if one was available. They told him not at this time (so hopefully they still plan on release it in 277). My LGS gets a good supply of Sig products (in fact I'm picking up 2 Sigs and a Walther on Thursday), so I hope eventually I can spend even more money on a new caliber for the collectionAn LGS here has two .277 loads for $30 & $24.50/bx., but not the reinforced case type.
They had one of the initial-run civi versions last year since they're a high-category Sig dealer, and they sold it on GB for a fortune.
I need to get a bx of .277 so I can add it to my cartridge collection.

That's a good price, I've seen them going for a bit over 5K. Hopefully the price you saw reflects it coming down in price in other locations.@BET7 Checked out the same rifle in .308 (2X NFA) at my fav LGS today. $4,200.
Nice, but I've got my bases already covered for my AOPs.
