With the defund the police and suspects as victims now-a-days gun purchasing from a lot of Americans have skyrocketed. For self defense purposes. How exactly are they going to ban "assault rifles", AR-15's. I mean I just invested a lot of time and money in my collection I don't plan of giving any of them up. Are they going to make millions of Americans immediate criminals for owning? I really don't understand how that will work when we need to protect ourselves and families from the society they made and we now live in.

One Democratic proposal I saw is that they institute a 1000% Federal Excise Tax on AR-15 platforms and high capacity mags. That way, they get around the "banning weapons label" they are still available if your willing to pay the $5,000 - $25,000 excise tax on top of the purchase price. Of course the usual enhanced backgrounds checks, outlawing ghost guns, yada, yada, yada is included in it. Talk about kicking the door wide open for the black market.

I called up all of my grandkids and invited them over for a day with grandpa. We made ice cream floats; oatmeal, peanut butter, and maple syrup cookies and binge watched 8 hours of cartoons. It didn't solve any world problems but it did wonders for my mental health.
