This Did Not Take Long

I think that Thomas Sowell is one of the greatest people that we have ever had in this country. I wish I could just sit down maybe have a beer /coffee/soda, etc. and talk with him. He is up there with Reagan or Heston on that level.

Yes! Thomas Sowell, great economist and great philosopher. I’d also like sit down with Him, Walter Williams, Bob Murphy and Hans-Hermann Hoppe to have a drink and in-depth discussion on economics & philosophy. 😁

I’d invite Rothbard and Von Mises but unfortunately they’re both unavailable. 😞

Hi,

There are shiny little red dots in that blue state. Newsom might have something to say about the following.

It seems San Francisco is starting to issue more CCW permits, grudgingly and with some resistance. In CA the county sheriffs and city police chiefs have the final say. Some counties are much more 2A friendly than others. The county I lived in has a sheriff that is all about getting as many CCW permits issued to law abiding citizens as possible. I think it needs to be uniform all across the state and the country, as well as universal reciprocity. But that's just me. ;)

Thank you for your indulgence,

True...but not so true... I follow several sites on YouTube hosted by pro-gun lawyers/legal groups (Guns & Gadgets, Armed Attorneys, Armed Scholar, etc.) and the thing that amazes and appalls me is the political wrangling that goes on within the judicial system. It's a circus! Suit, counter suit, appeal, counter-counter suit, 2nd appeal, etc. Take the Bruen Decision from SCOTUS...even this pro-2A ruling has not resolved the matter of constitutional gun rights. If states like NY, CA, IL & NJ, to name a few, can openly defy SCOTUS by passing and attempting to enforce laws and regulations contrary to their decisions...as they are now doing, what power does SCOTUS and more to the point, the Constitution really have in this country any longer...I wonder? Who now decides where the buck stops?
The answer is the difference between rights, state law, and federal law. If the pols in DC would pass Federal Law stating law abiding citizens could carry a firearm of their choosing anywhere then a state couldn't restrict said action. However, that federal law will never be passed because it isn't in their best interest.
