Thoughts on S&W 1911

i have the S&W Series "E", and love it.....

I recently purchased the S&W 1911pcc pictured on top here. I ran 100 rounds through it on my range yesterday. It is a Performance Center gun so it got some extra attention at the factory. I am impressed with the fit and function of this pistol.

I tend to agree with HG, though I don’t exactly “dislike” the ext extractor. They work.
But they do add two addit’l parts (small spring and a tiny screw or pin holding everything). And more “nook & cranny” to clean, at least occasionally.
Just my .02
