Top 11 Most American Guns Of All Time

I'm down with everything on the list after the 1911. Almost. Instead of the 870 I would pick the Mossberg 500, but then this list is I suppose trying to state the " Americanness" of these guns, not which ones we like or think is better or whatever.

Not saying those first 5 on the list aren't American icons, they're just a little ( and by little I mean a lot) dated. :)

The M1 carbine made the list, surpisingly--right at the end.

The 94 Winchester is conspicuous by its absence, but at least the lever action genre was represented by the Henry. But, what, no DA revolver of any kind? No S&W K-frame, no Colt Detective Special, no Model 29? :oops: Surely ONE of them should be on there. (And no Magnums, either?) Heresy! Blasphemy! :mad:

Maybe we're looking a different list cuz the last thing that I saw was a Remington 870
