DAMN! Those are super nice. Wow.Great rifles that enjoy a lot of aftermarket support, you can have a Vietnam era retro rifle, a more modern GWOT era EBR, or a something even more modern with barrels from 16.25" to 22".View attachment 15678
was a Seabee twice, 71-75 as a CM3 with MCB 4. Then 81-97 as a UT retired as a UT1 in May 97The Scout or Socom is a bucket list item of mine. It's such a beautiful rifle, but I went with practicality first.
Side note, @hawkeye52 is that a Seabee hat you're wearing in your profile pic? If so, Hoorah Brother Bee!
Very nice. I was a BU from 02-2010 with NMCB-7 and PW in Sigonella, Sicily.was a Seabee twice, 71-75 as a CM3 with MCB 4. Then 81-97 as a UT retired as a UT1 in May 97
I wouldn’t mind picking up that synthetic stock assembly for my standard M1A just to keep the walnut stock in mint condition but I love the look of that rifle as it is. Draws a ton of attention at the range.I was able to get a synthetic M1A awhile back. Its a tac driver. Works well on the hogs as well .

Your going to poke your eye out.
It depends on the M1A. With some good loads my Loaded PRE can get pretty close to 1 MOA over 5 shots. I'd be pretty upset to get 2-3 MOA, at least at the 500 yard range I frequent.Never shot an M1A.
Own plenty of FAL’s.
FAL is a consistent 2”-3” moa but rarely less shot group.
rare to put 1” groups with a FAL, just the way the barrels are made.
how does that compare to an M1A?
My M1A shoots excellent groups. Far better than my FAL’s. Like I said earlier, FAL’s were never made for precision. Though my para FAL with a Steyr made barrel shoots 1” groups, which is the best I have seen. M1a still outshoots it thoughIt depends on the M1A. wish we had a 500 yd range around here, all the ones close to me are 200 yds. unless I could get on the base at Camp Lejeune there I think they have one that goes out to 1,000 ydsIt depends on the M1A. I also have one that reaches out to 1250 yards a couple hours away. I haven't been to that one yet.wish we had a 500 yd range around here, all the ones close to me are 200 yds. unless I could get on the base at Camp Lejeune there I think they have one that goes out to 1,000 yds
