I agree trigger should force better accuracy since it must be pulled straight back. And in all reality, I should not ever have a need to use the pistol in self defense. Maybe a lot of practice will give me the confidence that should it be needed it will fire. Apparently no one else is having this issue with the trigger.
I will agree
The side trigger thing is there, no doubt about that. It is not a natural pull to have happen. Like I was mentioning, I have to kind of almost force it to happen. But, under normal circumstances/conditions the side thing is hard to reproduce.
I feel, that it is almost like a off color spot in the wall. Not really noticeable, but cause you know it is there, it is brought to the front.
The Hellcat was out for several months. Rave reviews and lots of enjoyment and positive feedback. Plenty of high profile and experienced shooters praising and appreciating the Hellcat.
(Opinion and speculation here)
One day, a person actively getting familiar with the firearm which one should. Most likely practicing dry fire, found this strange occurrence on a side load where the trigger would not pull back.
Think about that situation from a holstering perspective?
Out or garment or in garment
If something were to catch. Like a hoodie pull string or end of shirt, a fold in the leather if that style is used.
With the only safety being a trigger style safety.
I think the slight side load protect would be a good thing.
Stop and think, why is there so much resistance right now and investigate versus the opposite and the firearm go bang.
Just my thoughts and opinion again.
I VERY much appreciate and enjoy the open discussion!
