And the purpose of bringing up the protesters is what? Nevermind. One has absolutely nothing to do with the other, so why was it introduced into the story? I guess I am the only one seeing it...

Are we to assume it was a shipment of new guns since it mentions that the manufacturer would determine what if any of the guns were missing? It seems that there have been other shipments of guns stolen or hijacked. Sounds like someone needs to do a better security job.

The media will often sow sentences like this into articles to give the ill informed the idea that the protesters are capable of being fringe violent terrorists to turn regular people against the effective peaceful protesters even though the only talk of commiting violence and extremism has been from the politicians they are protesting.
