Unsecured gun=dead 2 year old

And this as well as all the other tragedies of this type are exactly why even responsible gun owners are seen as bad people.
You all know how it is….
There can be 100 reports of responsible gun owners doing the right thing and all it takes is one report of someone being totally irresponsible and neglectful in basic safety procedures and protocols resulting in a tragedy and those 100 good reports are not only forgotten but totally dismissed.

I didn’t grow up in a house with guns in it . Once I got my first gun I had a safe
I also grew up in a home where there were no guns and honestly didn’t get involved with firearm ownership until around my 17th year of working 20 years working in the firearm industry.
To this day it completely makes me crazy that people don’t secure firearms for safety reasons when young children are involved in homes where there are guns.

In Arizona and Texas, parents are legally responsible for any crime committed by a child in possession of a firearm that is owned by the parent. This means that if the child, regardless of age, commits a crime, whether it be robbery, murder, or even brandishing of a firearm, the parent can be fully charged for that crime. Yes the child could be charged too dependent on age and circumstance.

Do you have a reference for this, I would love to see it.

By no means am I doubting you.

This is what I can find on short notice. Arizona has a penal code but I can't readily find it while at work.
