How is the 6.5 Grendel AR. I was thinking about a new round for the AR and this one look good.

Not much more recoil than 5.56, can shoot further distance, it’s accurate. I like it for the times I shot it.

I have seen that it come in the steel casings. Good for just putting rounds down range. Most of the shooting that I do with my AK and some with my AR is just mag dump while at fishing camp for the first day of trout season in April.

It would work for that. I shot it a while back with brass, I can’t remember if I shot it with steel too.

I just use the steel for camp. I was at a local gun club with a friend to sight in my 6.5 creedmoor for Colorado next week and liked there range going to join so I can get some good range time with my Saint Victor.

Great Hog rifle. Son loves his. Run a 6.5 Grendel upper on my Saint 5.56 lower. Offer a nice low recoil 123 gr cartridge. Good intermediate round

I have 2 6.5gren, but sure like my 6.8spc better! The worst thing I am a 6.5/26cal big time fan ever since my dad's 1961 264wm mod70. Born in 65 and bought a 65 stingray in 84 after graduation, but my first rifle other than a 22wm was the shooting the 264 when I was 14 and over 2500 rounds later.......still shooting it. He didn't like the recoil so he bought a 270win......figure that 1 out?

20 and 24" in both 6.5 and 6.8. It should've never been titled that way. The only effective part was about range per energy for 30 seconds or less of the 13+ minutes.
