I’ve got a 1-6 Strike Eagle, and I like it for what it is—a budget LPVO that works great on a range rifle, but might not be the best choice on a “social work” gun.

I don’t have any of their MRDS models, but I expect they’d be similar to the Strike Eagle—a good budget option, but probably not what you want on a hard use weapon.

Optics are very much one of those things where you get what you pay for.

I would call them middle of the road. You can find RDMS for $30. DeltaPoint Pro Reflex is about $400. Vortex Venom sells for $180-$230. I agree though, I would probably put a DPP on it if it was a carry weapon.

I might run a $30 optic on an air soft...but not on a real gun.

I don't air soft but I can't see myself ever buying a $30 red dot. I got a pretty good deal on a Romeo 5 Compact ( $108) which I put on one of my shotguns. It's working out so far. I really like the shake awake.

I have a Vortex Sparc ii on my Ruger PC Carbine and I really like it. Clear sight picture with multiple levels of illumination and flip up lens caps included.

I don't air soft but I can't see myself ever buying a $30 red dot. I got a pretty good deal on a Romeo 5 Compact ( $108) which I put on one of my shotguns. It's working out so far. I really like the shake awake.

If you can get an analog to your pistol, it’s good, cheap training, similar to dry fire.

I like it.

I have the 4-12x44 crossfire II on a Ruger MPR 556. I'm very happy so far, after a store rebate it was just over 100. The shot through the 223 cartridge was from 50 yards with the fore stock on a bag rest. The 1/2" orange dot shot was freehand from 100 yards.

Yes, I saw someone else had done it so I had to try. I placed the casing in the bark of a tree 50 yards from my back porch railing, put a sandbag on the rail and hit on the second attempt.

In my use I find that the Vortex reticle lines are too fine & disappear into the veg, and I prefer the Sig Romeo 5 MRD.

All the mrd optics I have range from 3-5 moa, even on pistols! Eye conditions play a part on choices, but not all choices!

I put a Vortex Viper 6.5 x 20 x 50 on my M1A loaded model used a Sadlak Air Borne scope mount

I've got their Viper 6.5-20x50 on my M1A and now that I've had my cataract/corrective eye surgery I can see the cross hairs much better so now I've got to wait until the range opens back up to sight it in
