VR60 / VR80

Wow! I see there are some experts on here. Self qualified I suppose. Everyone has an opinion. If they choose to share it, thats cool. I find that when some are online, they seem to change their demeanor somewhat. What they say online is not what they would say to someone, possibly a friend, in person. Got a liberal neighbor, doesn't like guns, doesn't think I should have any. His opinion. I tell him, if he ever needs help, give me a call if he can, I'll help clean up the mess.

So this is what I use for HD. A little ole Saiga 12 with a 10" barrel and the dreaded 5 round dumpster fire box mag. It is flawless in its operation. Got about 10 years on it. Wouldn't venture a guess as to how many rounds have gone thru it.
Got a 12" as well. Same story, flawless operation. Oh, did I mention they both are an absolute blast to shoot. (no pun intended) Wouldn't trade either for any other firearm to replace their duties.

If you're going to respond to something you should take the time to read the whole thread and then respond specifically to something, via the "Quote" feature.

If you read further you would see where I like Saiga shotguns. As to the rest, you are free to trust your life to a $400 Turkish, box mag fed shotgun if you want. It's a free country.

As to self professed experts, I don't recall anyone claiming to be an expert. I know for sure I didn't. As for not saying something in person I would say on the internet, all I can say is you make a lot of assumptions about people you don't even know. I can assure you I would say whatever want to anyone, anywhere, right to their face.

This is an internet chat group. People have opinions. If alternate opinions trigger you maybe internet chat rooms aren't for you.

I recon I have hit 1000 through these things, they have run good and I have experienced zero issues... But, they are for run & fun for me, they are not my choice for PDWs or home defense. For the house its an SBR or my 870 Tactical, mostly because my wife has not let my get my M4 yet... when my life (or Wife) is on the line I want 100% reliability to the greatest extent possible, and things with springs aint that.

Even if you wanted to use it for HD, it's not my business brother. Everything ain't for everybody. And I'm not saying there are no examples of Turkish made AR shotguns that have run reliably. I'm just saying There are more for all you guys because I have zero interest in them. I don't care for external mags on shotguns. I like the Saiga, but even that I am not running out to buy. I'd by an AA12. :)

For the record, 1000 rds. seems like a lot and I suppose it is. It's often a Saturday for me. I think I put 600 through my 1301 the first time I took it out. But I am a self professed shotgun expert so it is to be expected. :ROFLMAO:

They say you can run a Mossberg 940P for 800 rounds or so without cleaning it. There are people out there who have never cleaned their Berettas and Benellis and they all still run. I clean mine every time I shoot them, just like every gun I own.

So for clarity, I am not deriding anyone for their choice in any gun. Any time you see me say things like AR Shotguns are dumpster fires or Taurus semi auto handguns are garbage those are simply my opinions. Biased as they may or may not be. My marine corps armorer and combat veteran buddy Bill carries Taurus semis and the last shotgun he bought was a Stoeger. He didn't get offended when I told him they were junk. I've had to repair 2 of his Taurus GC something or others a couple times before he gave up and got rid of them. Then he turns around a couple months ago and buys a G4 ( I think that's what it's called). Upon first inspection it seems, well, better.

Those things just ain't for me. If others like them I am ecstatic for them and thrilled they are working out. :)

No argument here bro... When i bought the VR 60 we put over 1000 round through that thing fast, we had ammo, land, hay bales... but, that is not a normal day for me with a shottie. I have never shot a Sagia, I think I will have to try one. I think my only point was, that having dumped a ton of shells through some VR's (60/80), I would prefer my 870.
