I picked up a P99 Final Edition this year after getting a great deal on a 2015 build Gen 2 P99 AS. It is a real dark horse. A great gun. I’m currently looking for 2020+ model in black, but having trouble putting hands on one. Only “issue” I have with it is that there is no way to put a red dot on it because of the shape of the slide and the decocker. Great pistol. If you can get your hands on one, buy it.

I had a S&W 99 .45 made by Walther for a while. It was a fine pistol that never failed, but I never care for the ergonomics.

They didn't exactly make me happy when they deep-six'd the PPQ Long Slide. Glad I stocked up on parts when I had the chance.

You can still get PPQ parts from Walther. They still sell the Q5 SF and Q4 SF.

The P99 Final Edition is on my short list. I was going to get the Final Edition since it's also in my fav color, but the price kept me away. I may see if I can get a used one in the future.
