It’s not saying unacceptable, just racist as ****. I can accept they are racist, but since now we claim to no longer be racist we need a disclaimer. You act like I can’t hate racism and love America at the same time. Yes America is racist. Yes I would die to protect it. Yes I am socialist and proud. These are not mutually exclusive ideals.

I'm not certain which documents you consider racist, but the unelected arbitrators should not have the authority to issue trigger warnings about anything in history, let alone the documents that expound the principles on which the USA was founded.

I fully admit that I find the concept of trigger warnings both sad and silly. It is sad because we have raised progeny so sensitive they think they need such a thing. Even Bill Maher, a life-long liberal, finds this concept as ridiculous.

Regarding loving this country - I would certainly defend your right to hate racism. And, some of us here have been in the situation to risk our lives for this country, and unfortunately, have had friends and comrades and even family who have given their lives for this country.

I am not defending racism as I define it, but neither do I find the current atmosphere of condemning anyone who doesn't agree with all the BLM issues or actions as racist.

So far, I have been more or less on your side, but as far as being a proud socialist who supposedly loves this country. I must part ways with you. Much of what has, and still does, make this country great is a meritocracy that loves exceptionalism and rewards both through a capitalist system. Socialists hate everything that makes this country great.

BTW: I noticed you just joined today and began posting on political subjects. Are you a Troll? If not jump to the proper thread area and start discussing the actual firearms you own and what you do with them.

Not a troll. I started this account because I saw a post that upset me. Not trying to **** anyone off, just offer another point of view. As a Native American maybe I see capitalism a little differently than you do. I personally would rather be socialist as I feel the elite exert ultimate political control though financial wealth in America. It is still my home, and I love it. Maybe at one point America was a meritocracy, and sometimes it still is, but there is so much downward pressure placed on poor people (schools in poor neighborhoods having less funding, police targeting low income areas, voter disenfranchisement). I’m not saying that the police or government are purposefully doing this (though maybe politicians are), but it is happening. I’m not going to respond to anymore messages as I know I will not convince anyone.
Happy shooting,
Mason

Not all amendments were ratified legally, thanks to the craftiness of the government over the years.
The Articles of Confederation were superior in regards to freedom as they kept most power in the states, thus closer to home. If you didn't like the state you inhabited you could move to one more suitable to your sensibilities.

However the article we're discussing isn't about the contents of the constitution, but the warning that our founding documents are somehow unacceptable to this latest generation. For 232 years nobody took offense. Now, for some reason, they do.

Now they are bad and evil. To subversives and communists, I suppose they

Bro this post has NOTHING to do with firearms. Everyone here is discussing politics. I can’t because I have different point of view from you? I have posted about my guns on the other Springfield forum several times. Screen name: Mase_Case. Im not saying you have to support BLM; but, support it or not change is here.

My uncle was a Washington State Trooper before retiring as a captain. My best friend’s Dad was a marine helicopter pilot who died in the Iraq war. It’s not even in the same ballpark, but it’s enough to make me think twice about either of those professions. I respect those who bring honor to their uniforms because they are the most difficult jobs in the world.

Ok im going to post about some guns now as suggested. No more political bull

May your powder stay dry and your aim be true,
Mason

I am Lakota and Cherokee and I don’t share most of your opinions. Particularly regarding socialism. History cannot be changed and cannot and should not be whitewashed.

By the way, until they give us back Pa Sapa everything else they try to do “ for us” is pointless and irrelevant. What they did with the rez system was clearly unethical, immoral and short sighted. And forcing Sioux children into white schools back East was disgusting. Forced assimilation equals slavery. That said, they didn’t do that shite to the freed blacks and they shouldn’t have done it to us.

My people came off the Rez generations ago. First and foremost I am American. So are you even if you do wish you were communist.

It’s ok we don’t agree. You are entitled to your opinion. As an American I’m entitled to try and change my country legally as I have and will do. I’m not saying I speak for all native people, maybe what I posted was confusing. I am Samish and my people have never had a reservation, or hunting or fishing rights. We were only recognized federally by applying to be endangered animals. I am able to try and change this country to include more social welfare programs through my vote, and I will. Have a good day Bob.

I also don’t believe in forcing other people to pay for me to live. I urge all my relatives and all “ Indians” to come off the Rez. As they should never have been forced into in the first place.

Sick people and old people should be taken care of. Everyone else should go to work. And if the government would stay out of our back pockets we could take care of our own sick and old. Raising taxes to implement government social programs has never been successful. Like the reservation system it merely creates a cycle of poverty that never ends.

My uncles in the Nations understand. The Cherokee nation takes care of its people. There is a radically stark difference between Muskogee Oklahoma and Pine Ridge.

Whoa! Hold on here.

You can hair split all you like but in todays world: Democrats are on the road to Communism in sheep's wool. Socialism is interchangeable with Communism, by degrees. Left/leftist is a curveball that means in the sheep herd. And, Repubs are (nearly) indistinguishable to them all and some are herding (and fondling) the sheep.

Communism/Socialism is a very peculiar creature: Few will recognize it before it is too late. If you were worried it might slip in from Russia or China, relax, it is already here from DC and many (so called) blind Americans have been voting for it. But you will recognize it when you become the victim, cuz the meat grinder always has to be lubricated with more blood and it always turns on it's own when the innocent, intellectual, successful, compassionate, Christian, Patriot, honest and decent have been bled. It hates courage. It hates fairness. It hates Hero's. It hates all that AMERICA used to be. It hates righteous power. It hates Truth.

Why is it that so few have read (and believe) such Greats a A. Solzhenitsyn, and so many others who have been there, miraculously escaped, and tried to warn you with the truth? The Constitution no longer serves the wolves so they want to trigger it, kill it, and consume it from the view and memory of all. Are you paying attention to one of your own, E. Snowden?

I'm spitting into the wind. No one can hear for the gale of BLM, Antifa, and a host of other sissified supersensitive suckers roaring hot air.

But this is a firearms related post and when I catch my breath will discuss the many platforms used thru the last 100 years by the oppressors.

Now if anyone is feeling a bit sorry for yourself, don't: You could have been that young man that volunteered for the military, volunteered for VN, did all he was ordered to do to the best of his ability, returned to a country where few cared, and believing then that he was opposing Communism now finds himself ruled by them.

I read The Archipelago Gulag before I was 13. I also studied Russian history for 4 years and very nearly became a history teacher instead of a ditch digger. On the surface it sounds like I made a mistake in career choice. I make better than double what a history teacher makes though so I'm okay with it. And I agree with you.

So I think this thread has run its course, before it really goes off the rails I am going to lock it.
