This would definitely get to the 1911 aficionados…… if it ever came into production……and would maybe, and I say maybe end the Glock vs 1911 debate…..lol

if this ever comes to be, i'd most definitely would have to rent one first. as i'd suspect the recoil to be as much as my G-21 was.

most likely too, i'd pass on it

There is a contingent of Glock owners (not all) who believe in Glock Uber Alles and like to bash 1911s but what will they do now? Do they dare own one? It is a Glock after all but will it have to be a safe queen brought out late at night in the moon light for wonderous examination? Is there a gnashing of teeth going on in Glockland or just stunned silence.

I own both, there are faults with both of these pistols, but not enough to say one is better then the other, I posted this as a joke, plain and simple. I guess it did get a rise from both parties with it.

It made me laugh so thank you for poking fun at that topic and I responded in kind.

I too own and like striker fired weapons as well as 1911s. I have my preference based on need but I am not polarized as some seem to be.

We have come a long way from going to Sears or Monky Wards or the local hardware/feed store to get that .22 rifle with the plain blade sights. We learned to shoot it well with a straight or slightly bent front sight or Dad wouldn't buy any more ammo. Today's weapons are so refined compared to the 1950s-60s weapons it is a joy to shoot them however they ignite the round.

We could even buy a house from Sears and Roebuck and build it ourselves. Ah, the good ole' days!
