What are you doing right now??

Hi,

On a lighter note, it's warmed up to 19° here. I'm taking Mrs. BassCliff to a Friday Fish Fry then we're going to a Chris Tomlin Christmas concert at a nearby church.

Blessings of healing, peace, and joy to all.

Thank you for your indulgence,

BassCliff
Sounds fun. One of my favorite songs is JUST BE HELD by Casting Crowns. Mark & wife adopted a girl from China who turned out to have horrendous health issues, after years of treatment Mark had kidney cancer and the song reflects his emotions and faith. Enjoy the concert.

just went thru re-newing my city tax collectors form, testifying that not only do i own my home, but live here, and am a senior citizen.....all for a tax break on the yearly taxes, and a nice little yearly tax refund on top of that, from the city.

a few minutes of scanning, and uploading what they needed as proof.

took about 6 minutes, as i had to print up each page for my own record, that i submitted everything.

Have a little over a Gig of data, don't have a drive large enough.

😬😬😬😬

I will definitely purchase a hard drive to back-up the new computer. Guess I have some good luck never had a problem loosing data. Have no doubt have numerous files that need to be deleted don't know how to do it.
We have, or I should say my wife has, several hard drives. All our movies, photos, pictures etc. are on them and we can access them from the laptops. She backs the machines up automatically. I think it's called time machine.

Woke up at 3 today. Really didn't sleep good thinking about my possible kidney issues. It has really crapped me out. Had the first cup and got the huskies breakfast ready for her. Just thinking about her makes me feel better.

I can relate. People always say not to waste time worrying about things you have no control over, but that's easier said than done. I hope your issues work out in your favor brother.

well, there is "baking aroma" in the air right now.......:p

wife tells me, the little ones are staying over night, so their parents can have a "date night"....like WTH...they only had one last month..!!!!!!

anyways, she has brownies in the oven, and to be sure they are fudgy and gooey, i must taste test them, you know, for the sake of the little ones....

expected ETA of the little monsters......uh....devils....uh angels..????

should be around 6 PM.......

its really cold outside too, with a slight breeze, gonna be down to about 16 degrees by 6 AM......

wife told me she wanted to go to thier house, but kids wanted to come here, so the heat will be on ALLLLLLL night long....maybe i'll have them stoke the boiler...?????

kids most likely will stay here till around noontime, when it warms up a bit.

so pancakes in the morning

oh well...as long as i have my brownies.......uhhhh i mean, as long as i have my tv, i'll survive.......

I was messing around in Open G. Picked out most of Fearless by Pink Floyd ( Thanks @SimonRL ) and a song probably none of you ever heard called Ozone off Ace Frehley's first solo album. Then my mom started texting me. It's very aggravating waiting for her to get to the point. I just set the guitar down and spent 25 minutes having a conversation that should have taken about 3. Oh well, one day I will miss that.

Hi,

The grandkids went home, took the pooch for a walk. Now I think I'll post up another range report just for fun. All the girls (Mrs. BassCliff, daughter, and granddaughters) are going to see the Nutcracker ballet tomorrow. I think I might just go to the range again after church since they're having a "girls night out". ;)

Thank you for your indulgence,

BassCliff

Ozone is by far the best song from that album, IMO. I like the Foo's cover, too.

It's okay, but I'm a stickler for details and they totally skip the harmonic bit. They also completely skip the solo. And they got a couple other parts wrong too. Big props for covering it though.

There's a lot of good songs on that record. I'm in need of love, What's on your mind, Snowblind, Rip it out. All good tunes with excellent guitar work.

One more interesting bit about this song and it being in open G. Open G was a Keef thang and a great number of Stones songs are in that tuning. It's common knowledge that Ace was/is a huge fan of The Stones and Keith Richards. They covered 2000 man on one of the last Kiss albums Ace played on. Dynasty I think ( my first rock concert by the way, October 2, 1979 at the old Checkerdome, touring on that album. John Cougar opened and was booed continually until he left the stage). Roger Waters learned the open G tuning from Keef, hence it's use on Fearless ( Yes Roger wrote that even though it's Gilmour playing it on the record).

For me anyway, when I tune a guitar to open G and start noodling around, those two songs immediately strike my mind and it's impossible not to play them. Both are relatively simple riffs and took me less than a few seconds to pick out.
