It is 1:05 PM here where I live and the temp is 14 degrees , wind chill is -1 according to my phone. Accuweather on computer says it is 14 degrees , real feel of 8 and only 3 degrees in the shade. Both show a low of 1 degree tonight.

every morning i go out to buy the newspaper....the wife and i take a turn at reading it.

when it comes to the obit section, i see every once in a while, people i have known, and many more unknown, younger than me pass on.

the older ones, i expect to read about.

not the younger ones.

but, health issues (if any) on the younger ones, take them away just as easily as us older ones...

My condolences Bella. I've been down this road before too, losing two great friends 2 weeks apart back in May 2015. I hadn't seen either in a very long time and I'm godfather to one's daughter. I chalked it up as me getting older and that these things will happen, but it doesn't make it any easier.

It's 31 here and wind howling. was 24 this morning. going to be maybe in single digits tonight. i need to do some things in the barn but forget that. like i said before the only good thing about winter is the water is cold coming out of the faucett. give me 100 degrees.

It's been a busy day for me. I played two services at church this morning, took Mrs. BassCliff out for lunch, then it's been football and laundry all day. Currently it's -1° outside and about the same for the next couple of days. Then it will warm up to 22° on Wednesday.

I also put out my TRUMP flag to commemorate the inauguration.
