Been up for an hour. It was -16, but since the sun came up the temp has crept up to -12. We wanted to have a fire last night but there was a breeze, and a breeze at these temps sucks the fun out of nearly everything :cautious:.
Time for a second cup, watch a little OPL and then cook breakfast. I'm doing lots of cooking today for the man to take on the road with him.

It's a chilly 72 degrees at my place. When I finish this cup of coffee, I'll venture out into the cold to turn on my lawn sprinklers! lol

Starting the daunting task with family of getting my mother who has aphasia/dimensia moved into our home temporarily while we try to find a proper memory care facility.

My mentor and best friend, my father passed away yesterday. My mother was present and doesnt quite understand, but does slightly understand what happened. They were married 62 yrs.

Its tough. Damn tough . He was the best father a family could ask for.
He is even putting all 4 of his grandkids thru college to live out their ambitions.
Parents lived very close by our familys in town to be near everyone. We saw each other regulary.
He is missed immensenly and this is the hardest thing I have had to type out in my life, but i need a release.
😭😭😭😭😭
We will move on in his honor of course, but it’s going to be a bit.
I’ll honor his legacy with the good times he brought us all.
We are having him interned in the National Cemetary for his service in the Marine Corps.
Semper Fi dad !

Hang in there killer, I know it’s not easy, my wife had to do the same with her sister a little over a year ago, with her nephew they found a facility but it’s 2 hours from us, also very sorry about your dad, hang in there sir.

my boys cleaned up the yard..dang snow was clogging up my small snow thrower, so the "big gun" snow blower came out...but all things being what it is with wet snow, even that clogged up, just not as quickly as the smaller machine.

the sun is out now, some melting will happen, and then a freeze tonight.

damned snow after january is a nuisance weather event....

ya don't clean it up, it freezes over.

oh yeah, my wife offered ouf boys some brownies..???

but she could not find them.......

i hid the sumbeaches........!!!!!!!!!

seriously though. i might have to break down and get a new, more powerful snow thrower this spring (the time to order them)

i just don't know which one to get, another Toro, or a Honda, or an Ariens.......

Headed out to the front yard to plant a couple of crepe myrtle trees. The front needs a little "something" to fill in some empty spaces. I have no interest in the NFL or the super bowl, so this will make for a chore I like to do. Then go sit on the back porch with the dogs and the wife. (Notice, I said the dogs before the wife! lol)
