After cleaning the terlet, my old antique drill and saw batteries wouldn.t take much of a charge so...i went to home depot. here's the part that will make you mad. i ask for this 6 piece tool kit and she said we don't have any. it's the favorite for thieves to steal.

She said they load up a cart and just walk out, said we are not allowed to say anything. said one of them got killed in Alabama trying to stop a thief. i said ya'll should be able to shoot them. i said this town that has grown into a big city used to be a nice place. never would that happen. the trash from the big city has invaded this area. i said ya'll should hire a cop then. they should not be allowed to just walk out. they will keep doing it. but shoot one of them and that crap will stop.

Then she found a couple sets that just came in yesterday afternoon. and since i have a ryobi 1 saw and limb cutter and a couple extra batteries i stayed with the Ryobi 1 kit.

yeah i got some electric hand power tools, and only 2 - 3/8 battery drills, a mitre saw and a table saw.......hardly use any thing any more, other than the drills, and the table saw/mitre saw tables take up space in my gun cleaning area.

but i did not buy expensive, Craftsman "home owners quality" meaning...cheap......and if i recall, clearance sale things...so even cheaper.

i even got a nice router, black and decker i think, got it for free at a casino, but i bought the bits......never used it.

so no big loss if i just chuck them on trash day.

none of my kids or in-law guys want them, they don't build or make any repairs themselves either.

I use that stuff all the time.

At my Homedepot EVERYTHING is behind cages and locked up! It takes you longer to find someone with the right key to open up!

Researching one of the .22s I got recently.

It's a model 87A, branded Springfield Savage Arms Corp, which as far as I can tell means it had to be made before 1948 when Savage dropped the Springfield name. These guns had no serial numbers so I have to go off patent numbers. One of them is "RE 222585" which means post war. So best I can tell this gun was manufactured between 1945 and 1948.

It's a cool little gun and this one runs flawlessly.

Some info if anyone is interested.
