What are you doing right now??

Browsing the Benchmade Knife site again. I decided on the Infidel out the front opening one and now looking for another one that either fits in a shirt pocket or front pants pocket for work but it has to be a heavy duty one. Best part is the Wife says Buy whatever I want and as many as I want.
Infidel is a great knife.

For your front pocket workhorse I would look for something that's CPM Cruwear. Unless you plan on getting it wet a lot, then get something in Magnacut.

Finishing off coffee #1 and I think I'll need one more for good measure. We have to do the "peoply" thing today...extended family by marriage. I won't know three quarters of the people there, but I guess that's okay. The husband is going out of town for the weekend for work, so we will leave early. The structure of my life is changing fast and I am just trying to maintain a little "normal" (whatever passes for that these days), and to do that I need a little alone time. Gotta get my house back in order after hunting, that will help lots.
Better start moving. Hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving! 🙂

The brisket is rubbed with John Henry Brisket Rub and on the smoker. Now the long wait...
14 hours at 225 degrees. They fell upon it like wolves

Just put a 24 pound turkey on the Big Green Egg. We are doing Thanksgiving a day late as the a couple of the kids had in law duty yesterday. My consolation yesterday was leftover brisket from Wednesday.

My router motor on my router table quit a couple days ago. Going to try to get it into the shop today it it's open. I use my router table a lot and I need to build pantry cabinets and shelves for my daughter's new house.

I'm catching up on the news online with the TV on Fox Business on low volume. I freaked out when I first started on my morning routine when the TV didn't come on. Took me 20 minutes of fiddling with remote batteries, looking at the manual online, before I saw a single sentence saying to unplug and wait 60 seconds. Sheesh. I had images of Black Friday TV shopping in my head while there was some heart palpitations going on.

Later today I'll have to play gunsmith and try to figure out what's wrong with my Smith & Wesson Governor. I was trying out all kinds of different rounds with it yesterday (.410, .45Colt, & .45ACP with moon clips), and now there is something wrong with the cylinder release latch. I can't get the cylinder to lock anymore. Stopped locking after my 42ndth round. Hopefully something easy to remedy. Otherwise, I guess I'll be researching the Smith & Wesson warranty process. I didn't have time yesterday to try to fix it, as I had to go play a civilized person for the family at Thanksgiving.

Watched the sun come up this morning. It was 0 degrees, and the sun dogs were brilliant, just too darn cold to go out to take a pic (taking one through the screen and window doesn't do them justice). The husband left at 4:30AM for work for the weekend, so this girl went back to bed and had the weirdest dreams. I was toying with the idea of going to the range today, but then I remembered...Black Friday in Fargo. Ah, no. I'll stay home and do what I gotta do here. Much less peoply, if you know what I mean. ;)
