What are you doing right now??

Just got back from a Costco run and other stops. Traffic was terrible and on the way home multiple accidents on the freeway and a brush fire.
But at my last stop, I saw a used Kimber 1911 lightweight in 9mm. Price said $670. Asked how many mags....1. Asked what his best price right now was. $450. I said sold. It looks brand new, no marks or wear (without breaking it down). I'll post pictures later.

Nice pick.

I woulda been all over that.

Went to the usual Wednesday lunch with the posse today.

I was planning on delivery of materials for cabinets I am building for my daughter's new house. It turns out they are completely out of 8'x4' sheets of 3/4 inch Baltic Birch plywood. They do have 5'x5' sheets so I think I have a workaround but a delay.

I'll spend the next couple days putting the shop in order and various tasks that never get done when I am focused on a project. In another week we will be covered up with company and the Big Gren Egg will stay hot. I love this time of year.

Just got home from work. Having some iced tea. I decided no more overtime for me until after the new year. Kinda nice.
Good for you, man.

I’m kinda psyched that I’m not working Xmas for the first time in 4 or five years.

Work new years, though, but I’ve never been one for party on on amateur night, and picking up someone’s shift for double time & a half is nothing but fun money in the pocket.

Around my work this time of year is like romper room. Not much of anything going on. A lot of people pick vacation this time of year. To me it's free money. Almost. I am off Friday for a doctor appointment and the 30th for my wife's birthday, other than that I'm at work. We get Christmas eve and Christmas day and New Years Day off.

I haven't left the house or been up at midnight on NYE in a decade or more.

The only time I’ve been up at midnight on NYE for close to 20 years is because I was at work…

That was a good price! Good luck with it

I have no idea of the model, but the fish scale grips may have replaced originals. It's a lightweight full size 9mm model with fiber optic front sight. It's marked Stainless LW. I've not owned a Kimber, but for $450 it could be good. I'm gonna look for some reviews and see what I find. I'm gonna need some mags so suggestions would be appreciated. No bumper pads, just reliable for not much money. I've had good luck with .45, but never had a 9.

Looks like a Custom II? I have one like it. Nice get and a great price.
Just finished my coffee and I better shift it. They haven't called off the shift so I better plan on crap roads. I can see across the field so far - so not ground blizzarding yet, but there's good sized pillow drifts on our road now). Gonna be an interesting commute.

Coffee with Irish Creme (Kirkland brand).
I looked online for Kimber LW reviews last night and this morning and few were to be found and those were old. There's a lot of haters out there. Anyway, Kimber doesn't show this model, but has two that are similar with different colors. I don't think it's a Custom II since it has an aluminum frame. They have a Custom LW Shadow Ghost that is close except for the finish on the aluminum frame and two other LW models with fiber optic sight, but are not two tone. From what I understand, the LW models are more small run guns that pop up from time to time. If I remember, I'll call their CS and see when it was produced and if they have other information.
I have a .30 cal. can full of 9mm, so the wife and I go to the city outdoor range and try it. I have a few others that have been crying for attention, too.
