What are you doing right now??

I'm nursing a bad right knee. Don't know what is wrong with it but it sure do hurt. Trying to hobble around on one leg , being a 300 LB old fart , is causing me to use those words I learned when I owned that 1968 Chevelle.

4 years ago I had an operation on this knee because of 2 meniscus tears and it feels a lot like it did back then.

Hi,

Blessings to all.

My recovery is going well and I've been feeling pretty good. Of course, that caused me to overdo it the last couple of days with Easter holiday activities. Then yesterday I had a physical therapy session. I will be resting quietly today, not a lot of activity. I need to save my strength for range day. Tomorrow or Thursday will be the arrival of my latest acquisition. I'll let you know. ;)

@rcurtner, I hope and pray your treatment goes well.

Thank you for your indulgence,

BassCliff

A 68 Chevelle.... oh why oh why? When you owned?

And your knee, this time wasn't from a trip or fall? I hear a few people talk about this time of year and the weather causing pains or aches, i've been going through that for a couple of weeks now but today/yesterday have been the worst ones so far.

that is what i am going thru daily as well..

one day i was fine...went to bed, woke up in excruciating pain in my left knee.

i thought maybe i banged it against the door frame, or some sort of other object..but nope.

i just iced it then used a heating pad, and took many of many pain killers.

went to the doctor like over a month later, he sent me for xrays

found to have arthritis (forgot the exact type).

but pain still persists today.

something else that xray found...

in the back of that knee is a Baker's Cyst....

look that up its got drawings and a long explanation

my leg swells up a bit from the knee down to my foot due to that cyst..

walking on a level surface is ok.....but god help me when i have to climb up or go down stairs..

right now, i have on my knee brace the doctor told me to get

No trip or fall. Didn't have either happen the first time either.

As for the 68 chevy , It looked good , drove decent , and ran great if it wasn't raining. I was still dating when I owned it and everything would go fine unless it started raining on the way to dinner or to a movie. Now it ran fine in the rain. The trouble started when I had to turn off the engine to go inside to eat or watch a movie. when I came back out , the car wouldn't start because moisture was in the dist.

Since Chevy decided to put the dist at the back of the engine I had to get all dirty and greasy while trying to dry it out. I put 3 different dist in it , 5 different caps , and the best after market plug wires made. I also used the best water proof spray on wires and dist cap , all to no avail.

Swore when I got rid of that car I would never own another Chevy and to this day I have been Chevy free.

4 years ago they took x-rays of my knee and all it showed was old arther. I insisted they do an MRI and that's how they found the 2 tears.
