What ever happened to all the talk about the new SA model to be introduced?

Actually saw the leaked info, video, pictures, and all. Clicked on it, thinking it was more speculation. It may or may not be correct info, and I hope that SA will find the leaker, taking appropriate action, including legal, against the individuals responsible as well as the OP's. Just my opinion.

I don't see how you could take legal action, no laws were broken, you know, nobody can keep a secret....plus it almost had to be one of the gun shops Springfield contracted to do the promotion, if Springfield can find out which shop did it, that shop should have there stocking dealership credentials removed, just my opinion.

If someone had signed a NDA there could be legal action.

so if your wife or child was pregnant and someone leaked the sex of the child before the "reveal", you'd wanna arrest and sue that person as well..??

there are no secrets anymore, and if some one WANTED secrecy, then why advertise you have a new product coming soon..??


seems to me, S/A is 100% responsible for the leakages.

not even the Dutch Boy plugging the hole in the dam, can prevent all leaks....

Leaking content is a valid marketing technique. It ramps up the mystery/excitement even more. The second you say “we’re going to unveil X Product on a given date and you are invited to participate” you have started the process. Even though SA is trying to “contain”
the exclusivity of its new product on this forum they know full well that all the other forums will be scouring for leaked pics and info - which is massive free marketing. There is no such thing as bad publicity. Ask Trump.
 
I don't remember which piece of plastic from the deleted thread was supposed to be the new SA. But I do remember that none of them caught my attention.
The big reveal will be held at a range near me. I was thinking about going. But now, I'm sure there will be an e-mail waiting for me when I get up. Depending on what it says will determine if I actually bother to go or not. :rolleyes:

This is not part of Springfields marketing plan. I can tell you they are doing everything they can to find the culprits.

Every gun that went out had an NDA attached to it. I don't have insight into what the consequences of violating it would be beyond having their T&E credentials pulled or, if it was a shop, having their dealership status revoked.

Well, the leaked pics had the serial numbers in plain view on the other forums

It was badass looking. Its name was underwhelming though.
