What have you bought firearms related in the last 48 hours?

Hi,

So when I left Dragonman's I stopped at the shop and asked if I needed to check out.

They looked at me like I was nuts and Dragonman's daughter made the sign of the Cross over me and said "We release you. Go in Peace."

True story, if you want my business, don't treat me like an idiot.

Hmm. I might show daughter a little grace and give her the benefit of the doubt. Perhaps she was trying to be cute/funny and let you know that checking out was not necessary. But as a new customer I would hope for some grace and dignity from the store personnel. What you describe is no way to build a customer base. I'm not familiar with Dragonman but that's not good policy. How often do you trade there?

Thank you for your indulgence,

BassCliff

I went to Dragonman's and bought a Glock 44 today.

I won't get it for three days but I paid today so I don't have to pay the stupid excise tax.

I'm very happy that Dragonman's daughters are so active fighting Colorado's increasingly restrictive gun laws but I really don't like the vibe I get when I go into the store.

I walked in and every employee in the store was eyeballing me from the minute I walked in.

I bought a box of range ammo and went to fire my Glock for the first time since my heart attack/torn rotator cuff.

I found out I can shoot with my right hand but it's kind of painful and I can shoot just fine with my left hand.

The place I normally go to wants you to check out when you leave.

That would totally tuck me off, the new range I have been shooting at wants you to check out, btw, you’ll love that G44

One would expect a friendlier staff and better customer relations
I've been to Dragonman's 2 or 3 times.

The call Mel Bernstein "Dragonman" because of the motorcycle he built.

I want to be really clear that Mel is an a****** but he's a friendly a******. I mean, I don't know how else to say that. He's polite but he's Gruff. Really he's polite but he's from Brooklyn and it shows.

Every time I've spoken to him he's been very friendly and on Sunday he made a point of greeting me when he came out from the back of the shop.

His daughters Ava(L) and Melissa (R) have lobbied tirelessly against this current legislation but I got a weird vibe from Melissa on Sunday. She was polite when she spoke to me but she's also the one who "blessed" me.

To be fair a bunch of idiots who I wouldn't trust with a squirtgun go to Dragonman's, but I find that sign offensive.

The first time I saw it, it said that if you did walk into their store armed they'd assume you're intent was to rob them and respond in kind (Basically, it was a threat to shoot you).

According to my wife thay had a $50 higher price on the 44 than Sportsman's Warehouse but I must admit they had it in stock and SW didn't.

I drive past Dragonman's every day to and from work!
Never been in, because of where I live (3 miles east of 25 / 4ish east of the Academy) I find it very easy to make the drive to Castle Rock and shoot at DCF.

I need to renew my membership at DCF, having my SA operator shipped there next week.
I di finally find the AOS A12b plate for it, now to find the right RDS. I am leaning to the Swampfox Sentinel II and may pick up a V1 as a place holder until it comes back into stock.
