What have you bought firearms related in the last 48 hours?

I made a quick trip to one of my regular weekend stops and found a treasure.
The cartridge belt is from 1918 (with an empty M1 enblocclip in each pocket), canteen is from 1945 (and the cork seal in the cap is still complete), its cover is from 1958 or 1959.
The canteen cup is unmarked and appears to be a commercial one.

IF, I can ever get into my mother's basement I think I've seen a belt similar to what you've posted? It was something either from my grandfather or his father had? My mom has to much stuff in front of where it's stored.

update on my order from optics planet............swampfox justice 2 has been shipped......well, label created thus far.........hopefully go out monday and be here before the end of the week...........m&p 2.0 45acp shows monday for delivery.......sent a link of tracking # to my ffl just in case they didn't send him 1..............it's great to deal with a person i've known my whole life..........none of his grandkids, daughter or sil care about reloading of even shooting that much so he'll close up shop when he lacks the capacity to maintain his ffl...........with his health being good for now it's going top be several years before closing shop...............he offers me 1st choices on what i would want to have on all of his reloading equipment....he might sell me a few of his firearms also, but not sure what he has (haven't asked him yet)..........he's the father of a classmate that had an aneurism in his stomach that caused his death and his other son did from something that had to do with bone marrow after breaking his leg from a skiing accident.........i want to say he was in his 20's (younger son) and my classmate was late 40's.......neither had kids, only the daughter.

I had my dad's whole belt . Canteen , Bayonet , and first-aid kit pouch. No enbloc clips though. Lost it when our house burned back in early 2004.

Forgot to mention I picked this up yesterday at the LGS. I was tempted to rent a Glock for the heck of it, as my membership includes free rental, but I didn’t have my gear with me so maybe next time.

Walked into my LGS this weekend to put several guns on consignment and came across a Walther P99 in their used guns case. It’s a 2014 model and shows some wear, but I got a great deal on it so it accompanied me home.

Took it to the range yesterday - here’s the first 10 shots at 7yds on a 4 in splatterburst - which has been pointed out is like cheating, for me - but I have to wear my readers to shoot iron sights and I need to recalibrate my brain.

And here are the other 40 rds at 15 yds. The fliers were caused by me giggling all the time! Very pleased. The trigger is really nice. Obviously well broken in. It’s a cool DA/SA, striker fired gun. Sadly, there was no license to kill in the box.

Sweet!! Glad to know I’m not the only one who gets the giggles on the firing line from time to time 😂😎

s&w m&p 2.0 45acp got picked up yesterday and the swampfox justice 2 will be here tomorrow and be installed. so far, the tf +3 extension doesn't work (even after mag modifications i've watched). going to send them back to midway and buy factory 14 rounders. the only issue is that it might not be compatible w/carver flared magwell?

btw, @BET7 you gotta love that 5.6pc 10mm right!

You betcha TFL. I had it at the range a few weeks ago, and it was dead on accurate w/ iron sights. I still need to try the other 2 M&P 10mm models I have, but I can’t complain about the PC version at all.

since i can't obtain a 45 version, i'm making my own..............well close too................post pics tomorrow

the 9mil version(s) don't have ported barrels. the metal similar version just has the comp with the slide like the 10 and 45 does, but the barrel only goes to the 1st port. do or did you have any trigger changes on any m&p's? everything i read makes me stay with the timney and not do an apex on the m&p's. right now i have 3 timney alpha's on 2 10's and 1 45. reset is nice, pull weight averages 2# 12.5-3#. i would call that safe enough for "duty" rated because of how it hinges compared to the apex.

I have the PC 9mm Competitor metal. Shoots pretty good but wasn’t as accurate as the 10mm (at least with me shooting it). No trigger changes on any of my guns except a first Gen Shield 9mm that I had an Apex trigger installed.
