Got the liquid stuff. The screws for mounting the AOS plate to the 1911 AOS Operator are very short. Bought the loctite for insurance. I'll look for the chapstick tube type, sounds better.

so did work in a visit during a busy week to a LGS that I frequent, got my hands finally on the SW MP R8, 8rd 357. HansG you were correct in that it is a compelling revolver, so light and almost feels smallish in my hands. It'll be between that or the SW PC 627 8rd 5"bbl. I haven't found that one yet locally.

I was a little impulsive last Sunday and I ordered a XD Mod.3, and it came in yesterday. I ordered two mags and a case for it after I activated the warranty. It feels really good in my hands and I can't wait to get it to the range. It will be a while though...it is pretty gunky and needs to be cleaned. I have already wiped a ****load of oil and grease off it, and I haven't even stripped it yet (I don't see that as a bad thing). It needs a good cleaning, but we are heading up north today for hunting. So between work and hunting for the next three weeks, it will likely get a good cleaning but I won't have time to get it to the range for at least three weeks.

Hey @belladonna!

I'm sure you're going to enjoy your new XD9-3. I took my daughter to the range yesterday and she enjoyed it, shot it well, and liked the grip too.

I was getting a little low on .22 and wanted to try some different 12ga loads so I stopped at the local sporting goods store to pick up a couple of different buckshot and some slugs along with the .22.

Maybe I didn't get the best price, but if the 12ga works out I'll find a good price online and order in bulk.
