Boston-Pink Floyd-Kiss-REO-just a few from the 70's and 80's-had everything on vinyl-then the 8 track-next was cassette tape-then CD-now they are saying that any physical recordings will all be old hat-all going to download or streaming-anybody feel old yet??

Yes, they certainly did shift their style. I was ok with it. Some of their last albums, I hate to say, I was not a fan.
