What is your plan?

I'm really wanting a Sig 220 Legion in 10mm
Well it isn’t a Legion, but it is a P220 in 10mm. Does that count? 🤔😬

I plan to shoot more .45 ACP and vote for gun rights and slow the ruination of the country. I wouldn't mind selling or trading guns I don't love enough to keep, though it may not happen this year. I plan on doing some bullet casting, primarily .45s since they are more expensive. It would be nice to organize my reloading/gun stuff in the garage to make it more enjoyable.

Oh My!, Yes, Yes and Yes it counts. i didn't know they made such an animal. i want one now.
It's the P220 Hunter with Kryptek camo dipped pattern. Here's an article that goes into more depth on it.

And talked about this before but my gun history can be divided into two parts. The accumulator phase and the practical phase.

In the accumulator phase I bought everything that caught my eye or looked cool. I had so many pistols I couldn't keep up with magazines for them all or ammunition for them all or holsters for them all and I wasn't proficient with any of them.

The Accumulator phase ended in 2013.

I'm not going to bore you with the whole story again but in 2013 my employer got permission to arm all the guards and none of my handguns were on the approved list.

So I sold off all my handguns and started over with the first criteria being that it had to be a brand that was on my employer's approved list and and the second criteria being that it had to meet the city's approved specifications.

The city approved revolvers but my employer didn't so revolvers were off the list. It had to be a 9mm or .40 Smith & Wesson. The barrel had to be between 4 and 6 inches and it couldn't be an SAO.

My employer also imposed a magazine capacity restriction. Regardless of when you bought the gun or the magazine you couldn't carry any gun with a greater than 15 round magazine.

I also joined my church's security team and they took it seriously enough that they paid for us to get professional defensive handgun training.

I remember going to my first class thinking that with all my accumulated internet knowledge that I'd Ace the class. I failed my first qualification.

It had enough impact on me that from that point on I took the training that they were giving us very seriously.

The more training my church gave me the more I wanted to simplify things and I really wanted a gun that I could carry at work and carry for security at church and that I could carry for concealed carry.

I ended up with a Glock19. I considered a 17 but since I was restricted to 15 rounds anyway I went with the smaller gun.

As an added benefit I only have to buy 4 different calibers of ammunition. It made it a lot easier to stock up.

my apologies, it appears that I did bore you with the whole story again.

I now own less than 10 guns with no intent to buy more.

The only possible exception would be if I came into a windfall I would seriously consider a Shield Plus.

I would feel completely confident with 13 Rounds. And not that it's relevant anymore, it would meet both my employers approved brand list and the city restrictions for security guards.

Unfortunately for my wallet, I'm still in my accumulator phase Night Rider :). I have 2 S&W Performance Center 4" Sheild Plus firearms. Their Equalizer 15 round mags fit the Shield Plus firearms, so I bought several of those for spares while carrying with the flush fed mag.

My goals are about training - both on my own, and likely with another formal training opportunity at some point this year. I have a short list of some items that I won't pass up if I come across them and the timing is right, but acquiring more isn't really my focus. Not sure I'll buy anything else this year.

I promised my wife that the last gun I got would be my last we shall see
Have already purchased a P-229 Legion & SA Ronin this year. My wife beat me to the punch, says I don't need any more guns. I'll try to resist, we'll see.

I told the boss that after I got my P365 and Hellcat Pro that I was done. I lied, there are a couple additions coming to the roster that are destined to be “homed”.

I told her that if we make the move to Dallas this summer, all bets are off.

I'm a fly by the seat of my pants kinda guy. I still see the Benelli M4 in my future as well as some more mods to the Beretta. The 500 is perfect as it is, so is the Israeli shotgun. May put a different optic on the KSG25. It's the last of the holdouts with a Romeo 5.

And I'm looking at this Les Paul.

For health reasons I quit casting several years ago. I have close to 75 lbs of ingots that I classify as Lyman#2+. Lost or misplaced my info on amounts of alloys used to cast bullets. I used lead, antimony, tin and linotype for casting handgun bullets. These bullets are pretty hard with little to no barrel leading. Could not find anyone in my area that casts bullets. Guess when I croak the ingots will be treated as trash.

Hi,

I promised my wife that the last gun I got would be my last we shall see

That article reminded me, I'm way behind on my practice/training log. I should get that caught up.

I'll continue my current practice and training schedule. As for acquisition, the only things on my list right now: AR-15, 1911 in 9mm, and a cap-n-ball .44 revolver. Well see if these finish scratching my itch. ;)

Thank you for your indulgence,

BassCliff
