Always liked cream dials.I was a big Watch guy years ago . Best ones was in the Navy I also had my dive watches , Seiko dive master was my best. But Citizens took over for awhile and others , I always had my eye on the golden ring watch they had in the ships store , it was a Rolex dive watch ,Red and Blue it had the Pepsi nickname . But the price was over $1,000 dollars which was alot of money back in the 80's . No one ever bought so they raffled it off, I didn't win ..lol. Over time I loved the Tag Heuer Always wanted one but then again price the formula 1 was like $1,500 it was a dream , Then my wife surprised me for my birthday with my dream watch Tag Heuer F1 . I still have it today and only wear it on weekends or when we travel . But the crazy thing is if you look at the same watch today from Tag the sell for $4,500 . Is that crazy ..Sorry so long ..brings back old times in life ...
Have always liked canteen crowns.I'm a simple man...
I wear a the watch I was issued 50 years ago when I was in the army. Have to replace the band every 5 years or so and get it cleaned once a decade. No batteries you have to wind it up. Getting harder and harder to find some one to keep it tuned up.Any watch wearers out there? What watch or watches are you wearing?
Today I am wearing a Citizen on a summer canvas Nato. I get a blister if I have a case back rub on my sweaty wrist. My watches these days are mostly lower end, I found out expensive watches do not bring me more joy than those I don't worry damaging or losing as much.

Lucky I have a good watch maker locally, he keeps my automatics tuned and cleaned.I wear a the watch I was issued 50 years ago when I was in the army. I wouldn't pay much attention to comments. Every SOB and his brother that reviews anything is duty bound to find the negative. Society is too nit-picky today. All I wear are Timex and never had a bad one. Just remember they are made for the working man are not meant to be passed down from generation to generation and at some point, you will throw it away and buy another. I'm partial to plain old silver round indigo easy read numbers with a "ranger strap". (now to fulfill my duty) "ranger strap because no one sells a watch with a strap long enough to fit the wrist of a man that worked with his hands and arms his whole life doing more than punching a keyboard or pushing paper clipsI wanted to get a Timex, but there were some negative comments from wearers that made me rethink my choice. I really wanted one due to their older marketing phrase, "Takes a licking and keeps on ticking."
Many little 'keepsakes' like a watch often give us much comfort. When there is a time or activity connection to certain people, it can be especially powerful.I have an old seiko 30 years young it’s a watch that when I wear it it reminds me of my mom . Her and I spent the whole in San Francisco in old jewelry mart had lunch greatest day ever I miss her dearly. She said to me let’s get you a new watch son . So whenever I wear it it’s a great day View attachment 59969
