Yep, and they should all be treated the same as everyone else. No better, no worse. They get the accolades for the good they do, and the get the punishment for the dirt they do. Actions make heroes and villains, not jobs or uniforms.

Not only are the soldiers a cross section of the public at large, the term SOF or SOC can be misread. I don't know what these guys' exact job was, but SOF is an umbrella for different types of units. These guys may not have been on an A-Team, but could have civil affairs or support units. I have worked with SOF at fort Bragg and elsewhere and I can say the green beret is not omni-present even in SOF country.

I'd be interested in knowing more about the true villains you speak about during your time in the Marine Corps. I was in the Marine Corps, and the US Army. All that time in the Infantry. In those two branches were some of the best people I've ever encountered in the world. During the time I was a civilian between those two branches, I was a college student at the University of Wisconsin for two years. I can almost guarantee there were way more of the nut case villains there that you speak of.

coming home on leave from germany, supposedly dis appearing for a several days... and no body was looking for him or calling the police about a person that may or may not be having issues?? that smells like a 4 day old dead fish.
he rents a cyborg, drives long journey to vegas to set himself on fire at the trump hotel?? none of that makes a lick of even WEIRD sense...
i have some ptsd . and did get my noggin moved in a fast way not normal... followed by sudden stop and concussive air shocks .. constant ringing ears, etc..
but my family would be asking in short order where is robert?

but there are ways to move on without killing people that have zero bearing on what you did or saw.

More than likely additional info will come to light. I saw and did things that still bother me. Occasionally have flashbacks & bad dreams but nothing that makes me think of suicide or hurting someone. This guy was in a very bad place.

I have never served in our military and have the greatest respect for ALL who are currently serving and have served.
I have lost a family member to suicide compliments of two tours in Vietnam. I urge anyone " our Vets" especially to reach out if you can, when things get tricky.

Both of these events happened hours apart, around a majorly celebrated day, both military guys, both served at the same base. They both used the same app to rent vehicles.

His person or not in a fire it’s not uncommon to have items in a wallet not burnt completely through. No different than if you’ve ever burnt junk mail or magazines the outside is burnt but unless you throw it in page by page when you open it you can still read a large portion of it.
Seen a few arson’s and house fires in my day.
