What’s Your Oldest Firearm?

Got a Stevens single shot .410 shotgun in 1980 when I was a kid. Got it for doing household chores. Hunted snowshoe rabbits and grouse with it.

Bought my first pistol in 1991.
A Browning Hi Power Mk 111

Edit: I should amend to also include that 1 week after the HP, I bought a SIG P228 which was the toss up gun I wanted other than the HP. Said screw it and got them both

Due to a total loss house fire in 2005 and a couple trade ins since then , the oldest firearm I have bought is my Keltec PF9 in 2008.

The oldest , in age , firearm I have is a Ruger single-six .22LR only made in 1957. It has a 5.5" BBL.

My grandfather bought this S&W .32 Safety Hammerless "Bicycle Gun" from a hardware store in Memphis in 1935. He carried the lemon squeezer in his front pocket until he passed away in 1969, at which point my grandmother started carrying it in her purse. She gave it to me, the oldest grandson, some 25 years ago.

Still shoots great.

Looks to be in nice condition. The screw heads look almost new and the gripes are really nice as well. Oil that baby up!

I’ve got the Stevens .22 I learned to shoot when I was 7 or so…45+ years.

I also have the Marlin 25 and the Mossberg .410 I bought in my teens.

I like the knife also. I have a model 330 Schrade ( USA made ) in my pocket as I type this.

That was when I got it…

A gentle rub with Mother’s Mag Polish on the bluing, a little love potion #9 on the medallions, and some Murphy’s wood soap on the wood cleaned it up nice. No pics of the after, though, for some reason…

My oldest is an 1873 Trapdoor

My oldest handgun is an 1883 patent S&W double action revolver, .32 S&W. I bought this revover unfired about 15 years ago and shot it in CAS pocket pistol side matches

1950s ish 12 ga ithaca pump shotgun my grand dad had in his trunk of the pontiac for EVER. took us a few weeks to clean her up. nice scroll work of birds etc
its also the one i let the magazine spring go a flying in the woods one night. i be the rolled over in his grave shaking his head

so the shotgun is oldest shot gun and the 1911 is oldest hmm pistol extraordinaire

the colt sat in a gun store since it was received in 1968 via us mail
it is the smoothest 1911 i have ever owned. really like the deep black finish

Oldest one I've owned since new is a Winchester Model 67 Boys Rifle I received for Christmas when I was 8. That was 1954. Lots of kids learned to shoot with it in the last 70 years. Oldest one I own is a Colt New Service in .45 Colt, made 1906.
