Who Carries Old Guns?

Very funny NMEDGE; and I'm in the same sort of boat. I found two things very interesting in this thread. First some of the guns posted are truly amazing and second how many of you refer to yourselves as "Old Guys". It would be interesting to see just how old the "Old Guys" are. I'm 76 and I am new to carrying. I moved from NY to much nicer and much saner state where I can exercise my right to own and carry a firearm. North Carolina will be home for the rest of my life. My EDC is a Springfield MDX Mod 2. The model came out over 10 years ago so it sort of qualifies even if I don't.

So fess up guys (Trying to be a gentleman and not ask the ladies their age). How old is old?
77. Toby Keith said I'm not as good as I once was, but I am as good once as I ever was.

I'm 55 ( I turn 56 in 11 days). Yesterday I had about week's growth on my face and unkempt hair. My brother in law's ex wife came over and the first thing she said to me was " Bob, you look like an old man".

Of course this morning I gave myself a haircut and a proper shave. Right after I watched Grumpy Old Men.

Please let me wish you an early happy birthday, or by my count the 17th anniversary of your 39th birthday! Bob, it’s my opinion based on what I’ve seen here over the years the degree of wisdom that you possess is far above a man of your age. Here’s to many more “anniversaries” !

I’ve carried a 1970’s Colt Commander .45 ACP. I upgraded the sights and added a small beaver tail grip safety. Black Teflon finish that has held up well. Five years ago I supplemented it with a Ruger SR 1911 .45 special edition with a nitride finish and Trijicon 3 dot night sights. Now they are both supplemented by a Glock 30 with night sights.
