1500 rounds a month of all types
I keep stock on hand

i usually shoot at lunch 2x a week sometimes 3.

Good points in the article.

I figure I have between 1200 and 1500 rounds on hand, between 9mm, .38, .308, and 12ga. I may have a hair more .38 than 9mm currently, and my 9 is my EDC, but if I had to...I *could* carry the .38. I'd hate to - it's dad's old '51 Colt - but it would work in a pinch.

I've been considering buying, but at the moment...I've simply curtailed my consumption and not gone to the range. Sucks, but...

In my area it's 9mm & 223/556 that's had a run on. Not so with other handgun & hunting cartridges.
