Why do people steal

On another social media site, (think their policy is you can't repost content somewhere else, so I'm going to paraphrase her) a lady wrote it, that while her husband while getting physical therapy, some stole his sunglasses. He is a disabled and retired Marine. He needs those special glasses to retain his vision as he needs a shot in the eye monthly for treatment. Her last line "It really hurts that you would do this to another person."

What is wrong with people breaking in to autos, garages, homes etc, stealing things they don't need to live. What is it? Thrill of getting away with it? A Dare by someone else? Most stuff you can't sell to a pawn shop anyway. Perplexed.

I sincerely believe it’s an “entitlement” attitude, ie I can do whatever I want. There have always been thieves because it’s easier to steal than to work and ear. Todays “culture” has only encouraged this attitude. Way too many were never taught right from wrong by being punished when they screwed up, and it shows. Couple that with a supposed “justice” system which makes victims guilty and criminals somehow justified and this is the result. Until and unless the decent folks retake control of this country (and soon) and get the word out that this crap will not be tolerated it’s only going to get worse.

drug addicts needing their daily fix, they could care less what they steal.

neighborhood roaming people of various ages, some homeless, some bored with thier life, want excitement.

in fact today when i went for my ultra sound?

the door to get into the exam/changing rooms was locked..in fact, there was NEVER a door there before...(i had not been there since 2021 if i recall), gal told me "many changes since the new owners took over".

i think i'd rather see locks on doors, than open doors, if not for the workers safety, but the patients as well.

We need 20 times the bed-space in jails & prisons we now have, along with the balls to fill them up. Until that happens, nothing will change. We all knew this 30+ years ago, but leftism wins.
