Why is my new SAINT® Edge different from the one on the official website?

You sure seem to have the time to come on here and whine about it. And I'd be willing to bet that for the rest of your life, you'll find the time to whine about Springfield Armory and/or the dealer you bought the thing from.

Dude, make the effort (or spend the $60) to get the gun exactly the way you want, or drop it and have a nice, relaxing cup of STFU. There are other people here who have REAL problems to deal with, and I think you're on the verge of insulting them.
Calm down kid

I spent a total of 1300+ US dollars to buy it, and now it seems to me that it is not worth the price. Of course, if I say these words here, I will be attacked by crazy fans, but this is the fact.
Really… ???
A minor cosmetic part that functions perfect will keep you from a $1300 gun ? The one with it works perfect. … and you can buy the one you want for $60 …. And “the fine print” from SA says parts may be swapped at any point based on availability for a firearm.

Wow…. Its a fantastic rifle. Enjoy your new purchase

When you buy it online, I think you will find it very ridiculous when you find that your gun is different from the pictures and videos on the promotion. When you find a price of 29.99, which is 60 US dollars, you will know why, it is something to control costs. If this is the case, the website can no longer use false advertising pictures and videos to promote it. I decided to buy this gun after watching many videos of promotion. After buying it, I find that it has been replaced with an inferior product. No matter who happens to it, no one will be happy.
well then..you did not buy this gun from Springfield, you bought it from a gun store...

your concerns should be/would be with that store, NOT Springfield.

maybe someone at that store switched out those muzzle brakes.

since that can very well be the situation, you really have no beef with Springfield...

sorry, but that's the truth

Didn't you read my reply? I have called the company and they said they are out of stock and can only use this 29.99 Muzzle Brake temporarily. But I found out that their store is still selling the 60 Muzzle Brake. It’s really a joke.

There is a variety of muzzle brakes available for the AR-15 platform.

Here are a number is credible reviews of what's out there. None of them mention the SA Edge Multi one.

Thank you brother, it’s just that the Muzzle Brake that costs US$60 has been replaced by a Muzzle Brake that costs US$30. This is something done by a big company. I just think it’s very outrageous and a bit ridiculous. The promotional image on the official website now still shows the Muzzle Brake priced at $60, instead of changing to the Muzzle Brake priced at $30.This is dishonest to consumers, and I would have accepted it if they were willing to explain it upfront, but they didn’t.It doesn't matter now, there are hundreds of companies, and I won't spend money on this company anymore.Obviously discussing this topic here will attract crazy fans to attack and ridicule.I just want to analyze this matter rationally

I got my new gun SAINT Edge today

Springfield Armory Saint Edge STE916556B

After I got it home, I found that the Muzzle Brake of this gun was different from the official website. I checked online and found that my Muzzle Brake was a Saint/Saint Victor Muzzle Brake worth 29.99. My gun was supposed to be a $60 SAINT® Edge Multi-Port Muzzle Brake and I feel cheated very disappointed
SA regularly puts whatever parts they have available on these guns. There are numerous threads just like this one about this exact gun and other Saint models.

If this is your first AR and you aren't familiar with it, I wouldn't worry about it. Look at it as a learning experience. Take the gun completely apart and teach yourself how to build them. Replace the parts you don't like with ones you do and from now on build the gun you want instead of buying one off the shelf. The odds of me ever buying an already built AR are slim to none.

You keep bringing up promotional image, but every single consumer good on this planet has fine print with images that states “items may vary… yada yada yada”.

I have side with the others.
This is on you. You walked away from the gun store with the product without checking to your satisfaction

You have plenty of options to replace the muzzle device that you don't like, with something in those reviews that meets your needs.

I wouldn't get hung up about the SA one that they advertised in the pics.

My .02

This is the first time I’ve spent money to buy a whole gun. Before that, I assembled my own AR for competitions.Because I have never tried to buy a whole gun, this is the first time and it is also a surprise

Flash hider is a non issue for me. One is as good as another. If you don't like the looks of it, swap them out. If we're talking about brakes or comps or something then I might be particular. Other parts on the gun I might have a problem not being as advertised.

Only thing I can say is while this thing they do putting whatever parts they have laying around isn't the only thing that keeps me from buying one, but it is one of them.

Different kind of learning lesson then John. Now you have learned not to buy pre built ARs. At least unless you have it in your hand and like it or it's a good deal or something.

So, tell me…what difference does this “lesser” comp make when it comes to your splits?

You spent double on tax for the gun than the brake. Find a better one online and move on.
If you had a custom build and paid for that particular brake up front and they swapped it, then you have a legitimate claim.
Thats not the case … that brake is less than half a percent of total value and does not affect quality or function.

All that is true, but I can see his point. Especially with a "Branded" rifle. It would be different if it was just a Springfield. Or even a Springfield Saint. I mean there are many different models. But when you buy a Springfield Saint Edge, it really should be the same across the entire line. May be nit picking, but it bothers me enough that I won't buy one.

Plus I can build a quality gun that runs just as good for less.

Calm down little boy, why are you so crazy? It’s a good thing to use your brain more. Don’t think with your butt.Don't act like a pussy and attack people online, it's just like your name in real life.
I understand that you're catching negative vibes from some of the responses John, but a couple forum rules have been broken in this post and you probably should edit it or a mod will ding you.

All these guys are ok dudes, trust me. Find ways to express yourself without curse words or ad hominem attacks or personal slander type stuff. Stick around man, lots of knowledge here about guns of all types. People are naturally skeptical of new members who appear as if they joined for the sole reason of complaining about something is all.

Welcome to the forum John. Relax and enjoy. :)

It doesn't matter, I'm planning to sell it, thank you

How the heck do you enjoy competition when you’re so thin skinned? You’re the one who needs to use his brain more. You accepted a gun that was not the way you wanted. All you had to do was say this is not the gun I ordered and refused. Instead you’ve come on here all butt hurt acting like a dilettante. Tell you what, IM me your number and I’ll Zelle you the $30 you reckon you’re out if you’ll nut up and admit that you’re the problem.
