Wide World of Sports......sort of

Unfortunately, the game is at ACU instead of WF. We'll have played Gunter (including this time) 6 of the last 7 years. We have a 2/3 win ratio against them. Last year we didn't play against them. Hopefully we'll make it 50/50!
 
On to track season

I wonder how many schools have a lineman run anchor on the 4x400 relay? As fast as I know just 1. My kid is that 1. How many lineman can out run backs and receivers........that same kid. The twins are having a good season so far. The combined medals for 14 events are 9 gold and 3 silver.

last friday the varsity cross country team made up of 5 freshmen (2 of which are my kids), 1 senior and 1 either sophomore or junior won district. now they advance to regionals on the 22nd. if they qualify as a team it'll be the 2nd team to go to state from our local school. my oldest son as a senior and the team he was on was the 1st to go as a team. round rock was a mud pit when he ran as it rained early that day. i was jokingly saying "stop at the car wash and hose them off".............the 1st car wash we went by there was a bus load getting hosed 🤣 . iirc they take the top 3 teams and if a team doesn't qualify it's possible to go as an individual.
 
I don't have any kids playing football, but do have 1 in band. They are going to San Antonio for state marching finals in a week or 2? Possibly on November 6th ir there abouts? It's my daughter's senior year and she and the band are happy! The last 2 years she has gone to state in a group of 2 and 5.
