Wood grip feedback

These are the goncalo alves grips that finally arrived from being backordered from Hogue. They are replacements for the Hogue rubber that my Colt King Cobra came with...Sorry about the upside down picture. Technology and I have a strange relationship....

for my S/A 35, all i did was buy a can of spray clear lacquer, and coated those wooden grips (inside and outside) a couple of times.

i have bought name brand grips from amazon as well, they do (or did) have Hogue grips. you may have to look for Browning Hi Power, i just found them
I love the walnut grips on my SA-35 just the way they came! They do not have the vertical striping I see on many of them and just fade from lighter to dark front to back. Much more uniform shading. I simply use Ballistol on both the metal and wood as Ballistol is promoted for both. I did apply a light coat of a fine furniture oil and it really makes them "POP.
Now I'm leaving them alone, as I can love things to death. Besides my natural hand oil is all they should need.
Good luck,
