Wrong screws for Hex Wasp Red Dot

I purchased the Hellcat RDP and this was my first experience with a red dot. I was having some difficulty with the red dot as it would seem to disappear at times or become almost a pin prick. I got a firearms trainer to look at it and it was not working correctly. I sent it back to Springfield Armory and they did replace it. I mounted the new red dot and after at the range the red dot fell off the gun during the third magazine. I thought I had done something wrong so I brought it to a gun smith and he said the problem was the screws they sent were wrong while they did seem to go in they were loose which led to them failing and the red dot coming loose. I explained that to Springfield Armory and they replaced that red dot and sent me a new one with two packages of screws. I brought these over to the gunsmith who immediately checked to see if they were correct and they were not. I notified Springfield Armory about this and told them to check with the gunsmith in case they had questions. Waiting to hear back from them and if the gunsmith can get the right screws to finish mounting the red dot. Anyone else have an issue like this?

Hope you called Springfield up, there email is very sketchy

Another horror story from the hex red dot, does SA make or endorse these dots for their guns? if they don't make them, believe i would find another to endorse and if they do i would find out why they stop working. i may be out in left field. just going by what i have read from owners of them.

Let me know what happens with Customer Service. If you're not getting the correct screws I can try to see what's up on our side. No promises, we're not CS and don't have say over them, but we like to help when there's obvious issues.

Thanks! Not sure why I keep getting the wrong screws, thought maybe there was a communication error or confusion if the Hellcat and the Hellcat Pro have different screws but that even doesn't make sense. Anyway haven't heard back from CS but hopeful.

Correct screws for mounting dot on Hellcat and pro would be M4 dia with .7 pitch. Length depends on what dot your mounting. Cover plate mounting screws are M3 dia and have their own dedicated holes in the slide. Are the screws SA is sending you to small dia or to short?

Just to follow up, Springfield Armory did send new screws and the replacement Red Dot. My gunsmith said that both sets of screws sent were wrong and got correct screws to mount the Red Dot. I asked Springfield Armory about the screws being wrong and the reply I got was they only have one set of screws. The mounting of the Red Dot seems fine and the Red Dot is working and not only can I see it clearly but it is right on. I wish only that the gunsmith and Springfield Armory customer service would have talked so that this issue would be resolved in case others have similar problems. Thanks for the feedback everyone!
