I lived in the Dallas area(Lewisville) back in the mid 1980's. Kerry von Erich owned a gym in the Lewisville area and would sometimes show up. He was always nice to everybody.
When I was growing up in the Rio Grande Valley(where I'm back to living) my dad and I would watch Professional Wrestling on Saturday nights. Johnny Valentine, Chief Wahoo McDaniel were some of the favorites. Gorgeous Gino's facial expressions were pretty funny....
Even though I'm not really a fan of professional wrestling I do have a lot of respect for how entertaining it is for some people and how good athletes most professional wrestlers are.
I have some martial arts buddies who are black belts in Brazilian JuJitsu (BJJ) and when they get you in a Kimora, Rear Choke, or other BJJ technique, it's painful and if you're smart, you tap out quick. I'm not ashamed to say I've tapped out many times..
It really shows how good some professional wrestlers are because they put on a good show...because if they were doing it for real they'd be good for one match only.....
