I purchased an XD-M Elite 4.5 OSP 10mm a few years ago. I just purchased 4 more magazines from the gun store I purchased the gun. They ordered XDM full size mags (not XDM Elite) but my research is saying that they should be compatible. The issue I am having is that these new magazines do not stay in the gun. They fall out and are not locking in place. The only difference between these new mags and the ones that came with the gun are the base plate. I am looking for new base plates that match and I have tried to call Springfield. My question is 2 fold. Where can I find these base plate replacements? and why aren't these mags working when is says it should be compatible? Hopefully someone has some insight on this. Thanks in advance.

Thank you for the recommendation. I actually came across their products and plan to try them out if I do not have luck with the gun store. They should remedy this for me since they ordered the wrong mags.
The issue is the XD-M mag has a base plate that is to wide and is hitting the magwell and preventing the mag from locking in. You will notice the XD-M elite mags have a completely different base plate. If I take the magwell off the XD-M mags will work but I’d prefer to leave the magwell as is.
Spoke with Springfield and they do not sell the base plates individually.

Is it possible to narrow the baseplates you have with a file or dremel tool?
I have considered that but there isn’t a lot of real estate on the XD-M mag. The base plate is very thin. Thank you for the reply.
