XDM Elite 3.8

The XDM 3.8 Compact is my EDC. Realized, due to some lipstick work it’s had done and Covid, I haven’t shot it in almost a year. Holy cow, not good! But, we got to the range and I was putting holes in holes at 15y and touching at 25. God I love that gun. When that OSP comes out grab it up!!

Looking at this picture closer has me baffled. The loaded chamber indicator runs lengthwise well into the optics cut cover. How is this going to work??? Is the LCI attached to the cover somehow or will I just fall out when plate is removed? I obviously can't be there when optic is installed.

The 4.5" OSP has always had that same setup - look at this picture:

And the older XD-M (not Elite) OSP:

The optic sits flush with the slide, so the optic is above the LCI. Here is my XDME its my edc so it’s dusty.

Optic off, with sealing plate still on, then just the mounting plate, then bare slide.
