Mine did on my XDm Elite Compact in 9mm, actually the red dot wasn’t attached, it was in the box

Yes. Pistol comes with blank cover in place. You get the optic and mounting plate in the box.

Thanks for the comebacks! I feel like that solves the last hurdle I had in deciding to purchase the .45!
Now, to find one in stock and ready to ship.

I have one and love it. Its replaced my Glock 30 as my favorite .45 for carry. I did replace the Dragonfly with a Crimson Trace RAD Pro, though. As others have stated, originally the Dragonfly was in the box but not attached.
